Effective Time Management

'The link between long term personal goals and current actions and decisions as a way into thinking about how to manage time and plan accordingly was revelatory. It seems absurd to say it, but I’ve had a ‘moment’!'

Course attendee - Queen Mary University of London, November 2014
BrainSailing's Effective Time Management Seminar aims to help people who are always ‘busy-being-busy’ but who somehow fail to get results.
It recognises that you cannot manage time - but that you can manage yourself and your choices about what to do and when to do it.
It teaches easy-to-understand principles that you can put into use, in different ways, for the rest of your life.

The seminar focuses on:
  • Planning (what you have to do)
  • Prioritisation (what you must do first)
  • Diary management (linking plans and priorities to your diary in order to achieve results)
It also discusses approaches to achieving a successful and harmonious balance between working-life and home-life.

Learning Outcomes
  • Understand the difference between being busy and achieving results
  • Learn techniques to help you prioritise your workload
  • Understand ‘your rights’ when dealing with interruptions and distractions
  • Develop a proactive approach to planning and scheduling
